This assessment strategy will help the teacher guide the student in the development of certain skills by providing open-ended activities to identify learning progress.
ENTRY 3: Performance task
Macro skill: Phonics
Age of the students: 6 years old
Topic: Identifying objects
Performance Indicators:
- The student will recognize objects by the sound of the words
Description of the activity: The teacher will ask the students individually to look around and look for objects with the sound she will give them, for example if the teacher gives them the sound /m/ she can ask them to point to things like a mat, mop, mug and other things. The teacher should help them with the names of things with the sound she gives them that they may not be familiar with so they can identify new objects.
Materials: student participation, objects inside the classroom
Time: 30 minutes
